Short Bio
Parallel Duo was founded in 2016 by guitarist Zhang Guanya and guitarist-pianist Wang Xiangyue. In 2021, the duo was named by master guitarist Danny Yeh and has since developed a profile that combines formal classical training, chamber-music sensitivity, and audience-facing program design.
The duo has appeared at He Luting Concert Hall, Shanghai Concert Hall, Shanghai Symphony Hall, Oriental Art Center, Blue Note, CCTV, and venues across Shanghai, Xi’an, Zhengzhou, Suzhou, Ningbo, Wuhu, and Tokyo.

Signed by Musica de Vetro in 2022 and resident performers at 上海人民大舞台. Featured by the Future Masters platform as a chamber ensemble with notable potential. Ranked #4 on the 2022 Damai national concert popularity list.
